Artist, Author and Illustrator Michael Deforge Joins Sound and Vision July 1st

Join Leslie on Sound and Vision Wednesday July 1st 10am-Noon as she welcomes Toronto-based artist, author and illustrator Michael Deforge to the show.

Michael’s illustrations have been featured in Jacobin, The New York Times, The Believer, The LA Times and The Walrus, and he was a designer on Adventure Time for six seasons. He’s made artwork for musicians like Speedy Ortiz, Bully, Vivek Shraya, Hooded Fang, Robin Hatch, Cloud Nothings, Friendly Rich and Big Thief. His published comics include Brat, Stunt, Big Kids, Familiar Face, Leaving Richard’s Valley and Birds of Maine. His most recent book, All The Cameras In My Room, was published by Drawn & Quarterly in 2026. Michael and Leslie get into the idiosyncratic short stories in his newly published book, his first karaoke experience, and well and listening to and chatting about the fresh playlist he made just for the show.
