Since her debut in the year 2000 The Teaches of Peaches shook the music ecosystem, this Berlin-based multi-media artist has continued to defy artistic and record label marketing conventions with sexually transgressive, fiercely assertive, and utterly captivating stage persona. She has directed more than twenty music videos, co-curated a photographic chronicle of her life, and conceived a wide array of boundary-pushing installations and immersive works. Her electro-rock opera Peaches Does Herself – which she both wrote and directed – evolved into a full film adaptation that went on to screen at over seventy international festivals. In 2024, her life and artistry became the subject of two acclaimed documentaries: Teaches of Peaches and Peaches Goes Bananas. On top of that, she’s starred in major stage works such as Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Brecht’s The Seven Deadly Sins, and continues to captivate audiences worldwide with her celebrated one-woman production Peaches Christ Superstar. She’s here today at EVR to celebrate the release of her first album in ten years, No Lube So Rude, previewing a few tracks along with some other choice picks! Don’t miss!
