Drum & Bass Fixture DJ Del Mar Visits The Continuous Mammal, March 6th

Thursday at 6pm ET with Niall V: DJ Del Mar got his start in ’93 at the Gas Station on top of a 20 foot high metal sculpture. He became one of the featured regular DJs at Konkrete Jungle as it began in ’94, which went on to become one of the longest running NYC D&B events. For the next decade (plus!), he became a fixture at the many D&B events that popped up in the region, opening for Goldie, Breakbeat Era and others. Along with D&B, he was involved in the Illbient scene, playing regularly at Wave, Abstract Wave and Soundlab amongst others. Over the years, he’s toured in Europe, Japan and Canada. Del Mar has produced numerous tracks as The River Of Action for labels including Jungle Sky Music, Home Style Cooking, ISM Records and Ghost Records, plus remixes for DJ Soul Slinger and Afrikaa Bambaata.
