Joining Jason Wald in the EVR booth Friday 15th, sometime between 2-4PM on The East Village Radio Jazz Show, Ilhan Ersahin discusses and shares new work and what he’s been up to with Nublu in the East Village. Since migrating from Stockholm to Ave C in the early 90s, saxophonist, label head and founder of Nublu has spent decades defining the “Nublu Sound” – a global, cross-pollinated blend of jazz, electronica and world rhythms. From his early collaborations with Norah Jones in Wax Poetic to his current international sessions and festivals, Ersahin remains a leading pioneer of the neighborhood’s creative soul. Tune in live, or pick it up a few days later via the EVR archives.
