Jazz Adjacent April 14th with Guest Alexis Lombre

Monday, April 14th at 2pm ET with China Moses: Pianist, singer songwriter, producer, Alexis Lombre has established herself as a force out of Chicago’s legendary musical universe. Now based in LA her resume includes work Jon Batiste, Terrace Martin, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ledisi, Lizz Wright, STOUT, Keyon Harrold, Marcus Miller, Nicole Mitchell, Jamila Woods, DJ D-Nice, and the Miles Davis Electric Band.  In the middle of her NYC residency courtesy of Four One One Alexis will be in the booth to talk about her upcoming listening party April 17th at Cassette with Melanie Charles and her concert Roulette with special guest Georgia Ann Muldrow April 18th. Lombre was awarded the inaugural 2022 New Music Next Jazz Legacy Award and the 2023 Luminarts Award. She was inducted as a member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) in 2023. Her hotly-anticipated second album, due out in 2025, explores her irrepressible range—as she puts it, “An amalgamation of everything I do and everything I am…within the whole realm of Black music.”
