Jim Coleman (Cop Shoot Cop/Human Impact/Deaf Doula/soundtrack composer) joins Two Hours In Tongues May 29

Friday, May 25th at Noon on Two Hours In Tongues: Jim Coleman is an American composer and multi-instrumentalist. He was a member of the noise rock group Cop Shoot Cop in the 1990s. In 2018 Coleman and Unsane front man Chris Spencer formed the band Human Impact. They have three releases on Ipecac Recordings and have toured through Europe and the U.S. Additional projects include Phylr and filer coleman (solo electroacoustic), The Children…, Here (with Teho Teardo), Baby Zizanie (with JG Thirlwell), This Wilderness (with Robbie O. Leaver), Deaf Doula (with Ev Gold) and Out Alive (with Ryan Cummings).

Coleman has explored live theater/music productions composing music for GLOWING (with Beth B), which was a hybrid live theater/installation at Silent Green in Berlin. 52 Jokers was another live theater event which toured Germany and Holland.

Coleman has composed music for numerous indie feature films and tv series, working with directors such as Todd Philips, Beth B, Hal Hartley, Rosemary Rodriguez and Richard Kern. Also, be on the lookout for Jim’s upcoming bi-weekly radio show Wax & Wane coming to EVR in June!
