Kamran Sadeghi is a composer, record producer, interdisciplinary artist and music curator based in New York City. He thinks of sound as a sculptural material and has used nontraditional techniques such as graphic notation, literature, moving image and custom designed modular systems. His album Disappearing Music (for Nam June Paik) was recorded using the Paik/Abe “Wobbulator,” while Loss Less—recorded in a defunct nuclear cooling tower—premiered at the Louvre. His collaborative album 42.41 is with installation artist Zimoun. Other contributions include composing for and performing with Patti Smith, Nan Goldin, and Sasha Waltz. As a solo performer he has shared the stage with Vladislov Delay, Tim Hecker, Richard Devine and Moritz von Oswald. His recordings and productions are published on Sternberg Press, Vinyl Factory, LINE, Sacred Bones, SUPERPANG and Apollo Records. Tune in with BeNYC on Top Notch Sunday at Noon Eastern!
