
Wednesday, November 5th 10am ET on Sound and Vision with Leslie Stein: some guest spins from downtown NYC-based musician Matt Sweeney. Matt’s history includes being the frontman for the band Chavez, half of Superwolf duo, composer and performer for the music of Red Dead Redemption 2 and a semi regular member of Endless Boogie. His guitar work can be heard on albums by Johnny Cash, Adele, Neil Diamond, Cat Stevens and Tinariwen. Collaborations include tracks with Run The Jewels, Iggy Pop, Viagra Boys, Josh Homme, Billy Gibbons, Blake Mills and Current 93. His production work includes albums by Joanna Sternberg, Songhoy Blues, Dax Riggs and Country Westerns. He’s the host of the long-running YouTube series Guitar Moves, and in 2025 Sweeney toured the world supporting the debut album by The Hard Quartet, the band he formed with Jim White, Emmett Kelly and Stephen Malkmus.
