Miles Davis Centennial Continues on the EVR Jazz Show with Erin Davis and Vince Wilburn Jr.

We were incredibly honored to welcome (Miles Davis family royalty!) Erin Davis and Vince Wilburn Jr. to The East Village Radio Jazz Show on May 29th. They sat down with Jason Wald to celebrate what would have been their dad and uncle’s 100th birthday this week, taking us on a personal journey with the eclectic sounds of Miles Davis.

Here is a quick look at the incredible legacy keepers who joined us:

Vince Wilburn Jr. (Nephew / Drummer / Producer): co-manager (together with Erin Davis) of the Miles Davis Estate. Vince toured and recorded with his uncle on Grammy-winning albums like Aura and Decoy, and produced the acclaimed documentary Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool.

Erin Davis (Son / Musician / Brand Manager): The youngest son of Miles, Erin toured with his father on percussion and now manages the global visual brand and multimedia partnerships for Miles Davis Properties.
