This year marks the 50th anniversary of the best-selling solo album in jazz history and the best-selling piano album, Keith Jarrett’s The Köln Concert, released on ECM in 1975. There is even a movie being released about it, aptly entitled, Köln 75! Directed by Ido Fluk and starring Mala Emde as the young promoter and John Magaro as Keith Jarrett, the original promoter of this legendary performance, Vera Brandes, will join The East Village Radio Jazz Show host, Jason Wald in the booth to not only discuss how this moment has been portrayed on the silver screen, but also some insights about Keith Jarrett, how this came about and what it led to in her life.
