Tony Price on Playing Out Of Time December 20th
Friday December 20, 4-6 PM,
Neonlichter invites Toronto polymath
Tony Price to highlight his upcoming LP
Requiem For The Ontario Science Centre, to be released soon on his label Maximum Exposure Inc. His critically acclaimed works have a singular soundvision, through his production work and artistry through the 2010s Canadian ‘indie scene’ (your definition may vary) through his grittier danceable digital funk and blown out house landscapes on Telephone Explosion, Burger, and LIES that form effective memory portals.
Requiem is an ambient jazz tribute to a landmark of childhood discovery and brutalist architecture that both host and guest have formative memories of, with contributions by local sax legend Colin Fisher and nods to the warmth and variously-aged library and industrial musics of the late 70s and early 80s.
