Asha Bhosle Remembered

A major loss in Indian and worldwide music culture with the passing of Asha Bhosle at age 92 this past week in Mumbai. The most recorded artist in history, Bhosle performed on over 12,000 songs in 20 languages with a wide variety of output that included film music, pop, ghazals, bhajans, traditional Indian classical music, folk songs, qawwalis, and Rabindra Sangeet. She was one of the most celebrated figures in India, and even opened a chain of restaurants.
