Cabaret Voltaire founding member, DJ, journalist, filmmaker, academic, and architect of industrial, post-punk, and electronic music Stephen Mallinder joins Mister Mike for the Friday, September 18th installment of Two Hours In Tongues. As the Cabs conduct their final North American tour dates, including a September 25th appearance in NYC at Knockdown Center, Mal takes a quick break to discuss an astounding career that began in early 1970s Sheffield and quickly went “Off World” from there. The horrors and wonders of technology, the effects of one’s environment on artistic process, and unconventional approaches to composition and performance are sure to be touched upon during this special episode of the program.
The new Cabaret Voltaire live album, “But What Time Is It Really?” is available now.
Two Hours In Tongues airs Fridays 12-2pm EST and is archived soon after.
