Prolapse have returned and chat on Brian Turner’s Show October 15th

Formed in Leicester, UK in 1992, Prolapse were the perhaps the antidote to the flag-waving, nostalgic Britpop infusion to that decade; a chaotic, repetitive, sometimes dream-pop-leaning unit fronted by the duo of Linda Steelyard and Mick Derrick, whose presence and sometimes opposing chemistry heightened the clamor and contrasts going on in the music.  After some amazing records, they called it a day in 2000, sporadically regrouping for gigs in 2015 and 2022 before full-on reuniting last year to produce their excellent new LP I Wonder When They’re Going To Destroy Your Face, out right now. With members’ interests immersed in the DNA of such musical bastions as Can, The Fall, Wire, Branca and even Throbbing Gristle and Faust, Prolapse’s full-on rock trajectory live and on record has been nothing short of powerful, and their return to UK stages in October is met with high anticipation from still-dedicated fans. Tune in Wednesday, October 15th 4-6pm ET as EVR’s Brian Turner traces the lineage with Linda and Mick and catches up on lost decades and a new era for the band. If you miss, check the archives.
