Thomas Buckner Talks 1750 Arch Records’ Legacy on Ergot Records, August 6th

Thursday, August 6th 8pm ET on Ergot Records’ show: Thomas Buckner is a baritone vocalist specializing in the performance of contemporary classical and improvised music. He has frequently collaborated with Roscoe Mitchell and was part of the core group for which Robert Ashley wrote his operas starting in the mid-’80s. 1750 Arch released music by the likes of Roland Young, John Giorno, John Cage, Brion Gysin, Annea Lockwood, Pauline Oliveros, Laurie Spiegel, Ruth Anderson, Laurie Anderson, Roscoe Mitchell, Conlon Nancarrow, John Adams, Stuart Dempster, Lou Harrison, David Rosenboom, and Donald Buchla. Since 2000, Buckner has run the Mutable Music label.
